Car was imported from England some time ago and is Right Hand drive. Purchased in Long Island, I registered it and drove home in the vehicle. This 1970 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow is a wonderful driver. The car has been mechanically refurbished and is now ready to be used on a daily basis. The car has been driven approximately 300 miles since the significant mechanical service and has had no mechanical problems. The car is a pleasure to drive with great power and a smooth ride. The seats are very comfortable with great bolster. There is plenty of room both in the cabin and the trunk. All of the wipers, lights, horn, AC, fans, etc are in working order, including a ridiculously long power antenna. The mileage is not thought to be original. Engine 6.75L V-8. Carbs have just been rebuilt. Motor starts easily, runs great and has nice power. Engine does blow smoke at start. Drive Train GM Hydromatic automatic transmission. Chassis Independent suspension. This is a high pressure hydraulic system licensed from Citroen with dual circuit braking and the hydraulic self leveling suspension in rear. The system has just been completely rebuilt. Brakes 4 wheel disc brakes.
- Paint: 2 Tone Brown/Beige. The paint looks to be original and is consistent with its age. There are no major blemishes and it looks great at 10 feet.
- Seats: Original interior is consistent with its age. The leather seats are very comfortable. The leather is in good shape with some minimal cracking on driver and passenger front seats. The rear seats are in very good condition.
- Carpet: Carpets are in good condition.
- Trim: This car has many amenities. The mirrors, map lights, etc are in working order. The wood inlay on door frames, dash, etc is in good condition. The wood trim piece at the front windshield, on the forward most part of the dash top, and the interior of passenger door next to the interior door lock need some refinishing.
- Air Conditioning/Heater: System is in working order. Repaired/replaced compressor, belts, valves and recharged system.
