Recent Work

Have driven car a bit but not had time to get checked out fully. Doesn’t seem to need anything major except a good tune up.

General History of Car

General- Purchased in N.J. from gentleman who said he was the second owner. His comments,” Original numbers matching drive train. Compression tests were excellent. Great weekend driver!”

Vehicle Description

The Jag V-12 is one of my all time favorites and frankly if this one isn’t sold I will not be unhappy since then I can drive it more. It is a really wonderful driver and will give you a lot of enjoyment.

Mechanical
Engine

The V-12 engine is extremely smooth with wonderful torque that allows you to drive this car in most any condition and will respond immediately to your command.

Drive Train

This 4 speed fully synchromesh transmission is very smooth and is coupled to a limited slip differential.

Chassis

Space frame design bolted to a center/tail section steel monocoque tub with rear sub frame for independent suspension. Power assisted rack and pinion steering.

Brakes

Four wheel disk brakes with the rear inboard, servo assisted.

Wheels

ER70VR15 tires mounted on 15” chrome wire wheels.

Body
  • Paint: Previous owner claims the car was repainted 10 years ago and it shows some wear. Small paint bubble center of hood which I just noticed. The louvers on the hood show some lifting on the underside and there is some kind of stain around the trunk area. The front valance has some areas needing painting. I would not touch it at this time however unless you want a pristine look. From 10’ the car looks fine.
  • Rust: Replaced passengers floor pan but rest of car is solid.
  • Damage/Collision: None Known
  • Trim: Small dimple in grill surround
Interior
  • Seats: Fine original seats. Some wear but if kept up years of wear remain
  • Carpet: Needs driver side front carpet but would replace both.
  • Floor Mats: None
  • Dash Board: Fine.
  • Gauges/Clock: Choke label missing and clock inoperative which is not uncommon for this vintage.
  • Air Conditioning/Heater: No A/C
